Our Spray Park

Our Spray Park is a fantastic free destination for families looking to cool off during the warmer months at the Franconia Family Recreation Area in Arlington, Virginia. Located at 6601 Telegraph Road, this Chesapeake Bay-themed spray park welcomes children of all ages and abilities with fully accessible facilities designed to ensure everyone can enjoy the water features.

The park features refreshing spray jets that provide endless entertainment for young visitors. Beyond the water play, families will appreciate the additional amenities available on the grounds, including restrooms, a playground, a carousel, and a children's hiking trail, making it easy to spend an entire afternoon at the recreation area.

Our Spray Park operates seasonally from May 25 through September 2. During the shoulder seasons of late May through early June and late August through early September, the park is open weekends and holidays from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. During the peak summer season from June 15 through August 18, hours expand significantly, with weekday operations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday hours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and weekend and holiday hours from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Parents planning a visit should wear water shoes for their children and arrive early, as the park operates on a first-come, first-served basis and reaches capacity during busy times. A special feature for families with children who have sensory sensitivities is the sensory-friendly time offered every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. through August 28, which features limited capacity and staff specifically trained to assist children with special needs.
